i think he`ll play on the left,hes played there a lot for villa and benitez planned to play him there,he can also play at left back or in the middle,wouldn`t be suprised to see sturridge go the other way as part of the deal.

You have to wonder if Barry does sign, whether there is a significant transfer plan in place for the summer which is being sold to him...because honestly I would have considered this transfer as unlikely as say Kaka or Villa simply because of Barry's stance last summer about wanting to play Chumps League football...

Agreed.

I'm still a little sceptical here, basically a fee has been agreed but we now have to sell the infamous 'project' to him, and ask him not only not to play chumps football next season, but not to play in Europe at all. If he looks to the future then yeah, I can see why he'd come here, but he's getting on now and must be looking to the World Cup next year.

Be an interesting few days to see if Barry does sign. I hope he does.
