I can see Vinny to be moved out of them two and Barry should be playing a little more forward than Vinny has been because hes more box to box. Just hope it comes off now.

Hate to sound like this but I have a very bad feeling about it. Perhaps I've benn scared by the whole Kaka thing but I just cant see why he would want to come when in 1yr he could go anywhere(liverpool in particular) on a free transfer?

Said for ages that Barry or Alonso would be the perfect players for us to sign. Chuffed about this as 1 Barry is a quality player just about in his prime and 2 it means we can finally get rid of the system of having 2 defensive midfielders.

I would have prefered Alonso, but barry is still a quality signing. Take him all day

On Vinnies first filmed interview on the OS he said that he would eventually be CB.

Im hoping that after the Kaka affair we have learnt our lesson with making transfer stories public before they are nailed on. I know the other club could also let the press know, but it cant be too hard to agree a confidentiality agreement beforehand?

Yea, Gareth Barry is the experienced top quality prem proven box to box midfielder we've been lacking. Would be a superb signing.

Sorry but on their forum, I'm reading shit like, oh it must be some stupid offer say 9-12 Million. Thats not a lot for a player of his quality surely? We would get the better deal.
