I'd be surprised if he's made many more than 30 appearances, with a couple of goals in there.

Its all well and good taking the moral high ground when a player gets sent off but when you are in the sh*t that they are in whats the point other than to provide the manager with another excuse for why things have gone tits up. Just what I feel mate. Alan Smiths tackle earlier in the game was worse than joeys its just he is an easy target for everyone. I dont know why but I still have a soft spot for him as I think he is a great player.

everyone likes passion and commitment on the field, but all u get with barton is stupidity, hes been sent off 4 times in his 33 game newcastle united carrer......when theres someone on the pitch who cant be trusted then its putting the opposition players in danger, i dont care who it could be but one day hes going to snap somebodys leg, and even if it was that 'Winker' from down the road id be fuming, sorry but possibly ending someones carrer shouldnt be laughed at, its sport at the end of the day.......and i dont see why the FA or PFA dont act now before its too late......but no doubt Gordon 'kiss ass' Taylor will make sure hes not going anywhere........kick him out before he seriously harms somebody

I used to love the guy but I have to say that he has the look of a proper phsyco these days - I don't think we've seen the last of his antics just yet - thank fuck we got rid of him - he's car crash football - definetely a liability.
