Okay, let's calm down here, I'm as excited as the next bloke but...

What exactly does "in talks" mean

has a fee been agreed with the club, and are we negotiating personal terms? is milan willing to sell, and in january or summer? is kaka willing to move to us(least of the problems though)? what kind of time table are we looking at?

didn't milan JUST say they weren't going to sell him a few hours ago?

In taks means that Milan are willing to discuss a fee.

This is where it gets interesting/good. Normally, two clubs would haggle over a price. Int his case, Milan say a price, we pay up.

You don't enter negotiations if there is not some sort of preliminary agreement in place along the line.

This has gone beyond the likes of RSC bid rejected type stuff. We are sitting at the table with them which is them basically admitting he is for sale at the right price.

Agree with this yeah Kaka

The way I see it as stated on another thread, if Milan really really didn't want to sell they wouldn't be talking. We can afford any fee that ask for him, money is no object. I'm sure Kaka would have been sounded out about the move before Cook went to Italy add to this all his quotes about playing in England and being willing to leave if Milan wanted to sell then I think it's very promising.
