SSN confirmed Laporta has told a Spanish radio station that we have made a "stratospheric" offer to Eto'o, which (if he takes it) will make him the best paid player in the world.

He wants to stay at Barca but an offer like this is hard to refuse.

Sounds like Laporta preparing the way with the Barca fans that he's on his way otherwise he'd be best served to keep his trap shut. Presumably, if we're talking to him we've agreed a fee or we're still negotiating but Barca are happy to get rid. Either way, for the first time I actually think this might happen.
