City would have wanted a confidentiality clause in the negotiations, so hopefully this hasnt broken that. I do believe though for Laporta to say this must mean a deal is pretty close.

Always thought Laporta was a pretty straight up guy, unlike those tossers at Milan.

Gonna have to disagree with you there, I thought he gave a good report and was fiarly positive about us.

Yeh he's a rag, and puts a positive twist on what they do, but can you, hand on heart, say you wouldn't do the same thing about City?

And I very much doubt you would give a report on the rags as positive as that one was.

im just worried now that it is out in the public domain and its all official that just like with the kaka bid there will be certain sections of the media, fans forums and other people will try and derail this........

You just know there will be a huge outcry about wages the being paid, the transfer fee.......the money in football generally....the fact that he wil obviously be coming here for the money cause city dont have european football.........all the negative stuff that we normally get........I just hope that this doesnt affectt he players decision cause that is what these people want........

whatever happens city will end up looking bad again (according to the media etc anyway)
