Surely there has to be an argument for certain players tenure in the country.

Almunia and Cuddini I think I am right in saying would not qualify and would be classed as overseas players however both could play for England. Doesnt add up that really.

Of that current squad you could easily see Benjani, Petrov, Garrido and Sylvinho move on next Summer (if not before) to make room for a further 4 non homegrown talents to come in. We are at a stage where tweaks will be made now as opposed to wholesale changes. Also dont overlook just how many 16/17 year old internationals have been brought in on the quiet over the last 12 months who will become "Homegrown" people like Nils Zander and the French kid to name but 2 Im pretty sure there are at least 4/5 more of that calibre who have been recruited. Im telling you, we are going to be the worlds biggest club and all the foundation work has been done as well as the big spend.
