St Anne's Lytham St Anne's

Lytham is the perceived 'posher' of the two. Lytham Hall and gardens is lovely, especially on a sunny day like today. Fairhaven Lake on the front is worth seeing along with the Windmill.
Pubs like The Queens, The Taps and The Station are top. Some good restaurants too, Zest being a favourite.

St Anne's has the pier to see and the sand dunes/beaches are lovely. Centre has lot of shops and restaurant/bars. No. 15 and The Hop Shoppe are good.
and a great new Indian restaurant, Jai

I can highly recommend Seniors Chippys all over Lytham, Poulton, Thornton etc. So much so they have spoiled me for any other chippy anywhere ( apart from Drakes in Babbacombe, Devon). Infact I'm having Seniors Cheapy Tuesday Fish Deal for tea tonight. So what you may well ask. Well I live in Cheshire East! Is this the furthest anyone goes for chips?? ( Actually our offspring has a gaff up there we visit 2/ 3 monthly).
I would live up in Poulton le Fylde if I could!!
Seniors is one of the best chippies there is. We often drive over from Preston to the blackpool one and sometimes the one in Thornton. Delicious food.

Lytham is snob central - full of ladies who lunch and blokes on coke

Whoa. That I didn't know - well the latter. I do see the laydeees sometimes in Booths cafe, usually hogging the window seats.

But I've not seen any blokes of that description, but I don't go out at night there, unless to see a show at The Lowther Pavillion.

I imagine the annual festival attracts a lot of undesirables...

Yeah. Chris and Alan, Block 106 Row DD, dodgy as fook.
Said to Chris, how the fook does Alan manage 5 or 6 overseas holiday's ever year, one which includes the land down under.
Forgot to mention Graham who lives in Seniors.
