I am sure my first derby was 68 and I always thought the attendance was 68,500

67-68 was 62,942 and 68-69 was 63,052.
I always thought the official capacity was around 63,000 before the Scoreboard End was extended, covered and turned into the North Stand. This increased the capacity to 66,000 but it was back down to 52,500 at the start of 72-73 when seats were installed in the North Stand.

Capacity was never 66,000 then also 63,360 was the top gate 71-72 v rags the 3-3 game when it was standing up in the new north stand for 1season only.season 72-73 when the seats went in capacity was not 52,500 we played sunderland in fa cup and had 54,500.

Yes burnley won the lge that night but the score was 1-2 not 0-0 also if it did end in a draw wolves would have been champs and not burnley,
