the stadium has not got a recognised name so to rename it would give a better identity and bring in money.
But I would say sod the money and go for UNICEF
it would raise our profile instantly.

Don´t be daft. How much would they pay..We NEED the money, or rather the "footy-realted" income.

If we were still at Maine Rd this would be outrageous but here I really couldn't give a fuck as long as its not too cheesey.

Spot on mate.

After eight years of calling it 'Eastlands', 'COMS', 'the Ground' etc, any sponsorship deal isn't exactly going to get us all collectively calling it by it's new, sponsored name.

But as the jimmy blue shoes says if it was Maine Road then that would be a different story.

Re: Stadium Naming Rights

We've been used to this naming rights thing for 20 years here in Yankland.

Main thing is, don't get a stupid sounding one. Etihad sounds cool, Apple would be epic. Or you could get really unlucky. :/

Re: Stadium Naming Rights

Do we need the money?

Why not the Frank Swift Stadium? That would, really, really, wind the fuckers up.
