its a great day out,im not really into real ale ,or I wasn't until my first ale trail, good days out.

I might upset the real ale drinkers on here but it's brewed too warm for me and not refreshing enough. I did stick to real ale though, and I didn't projectile vomit like I used to years ago on a dodgy pint of Robbies. Hic ; )

From Picc (or Staly Vegas) go straight out to Dewsbury and then work your way back - thats the best way to do the Ale Train IMHO

First went in the early 90's. Great place.
Blokes in their 40's plus supping a beer and then a ''watchman'' would dash in, give the call, and they all ran out to collect the train numbers!

Used to go myself and then nip round the corner to a superb pub that did wonderful curries.It had the shortest pub name in the world and I can`t remember if it was K or Y ? Anyone confirm that ?
