Stand against prices

It will never happen but would be interesting if all fans boycotted a game just once to see the effect this would have on the club/game,the publicity it would gain would be useful.
Can you imagine utd pool or arsenal fans to join, the real fans would be banned for a big game, and them teams more then us would simply get more day trippers in, I don't know the answer to high ticket prices, I wish I could then maybe go to a few more games, atleast for now we have over 65 and under 18 tickets, it would be nice if all fans didn't go for a game but it will never happen I'm afraid

Dead right, should play that message on the turrets or in the toilets where it might be heard by someone who needs to hear it.

Thankfully I always miss it because I'm finishing my pint ;-)
The toilets are the best place for the message to be relayed sound carries better than vision due to the fog in that area at half time … smoking not permitted it’s a joke!

2% down given the circumstances, and that is held back tickets after selling out originally.
There were about 2k unsold tickets, so that's nearer 4%, but those unsold tickets won't include those listed on the ticket exchange that remained unsold (like mine) or where ticket holders simply didn't turn up. I'd say it was more like 10%.

My dad stopped going when his Season Ticket went over £250. He said that was his limit and anything above was a rip off
He has been to very few games since normally when I have treated him.
A few years ago I paid for 10 of us for hospitality against Burnley in the cup. He moaned that the price of beer was a rip off.
I guess we had fans 50 years ago who said it was to expensive to go.

I don't know where to start.
I don't do Facebook or any crap like that.
But I really feel we need to start a protest .
A coming together of all fans all clubs.
Enough is enough.
Real fans are been priced out of going to games.
It's having a negative effect on the atmosphere and the experience of going to games.
I've been priced out this season after 30 years .
I've given my ticket to mate for this season..next season I either move to the 3rd tier and don't sit with my dad.
Or I don't go again.if it carries on I will be out of the habit of going.
It's been my life since 1984.
Our owners have given me more than I ever dreamt possible but at a cost.
I don't feel like it's my club anymore and I want city and football back.
Let's get some demonstration going not against our owners but against where footballs going.
It belong to the fans.
The real fans not the ones with the half and half scarves and barca shirts at Anfield.
The real fans who will be there if we're shit again one day.
Grimsby away.
Macc away.
Laughing stock all over the country..but we stayed together.
It's time to come together now .
My season ticket is over £900 !! Always sworn that once it reaches a grand then that’s me done . Talking of Grimsby away, part of me yearns for the police escort along Cleethorpes sea front in winter :)

It was 1,122 less than the most we had this season for a PL, 751 down on the average PL which is close to 2% either slightly above or a bit below whichever way you look at it.

I am aware a lot of people didn't turn up on Wednesday who bought tickets, but the club got their money, and if that is the lowest demand PL game of the season the club won't be concerned. As Tim says the club may use that as ammo to increase season ticket prices and push for flexi-Golds.

Fans have no bargaining power as there will never be a boycott due to demand, and the club uses the the Value Golds and back of SS3 to justify the high prices by saying we have the cheapest season tickets in the PL whenever there is criticism or protest. In SS3 there were around 12% in each block listed on T Ex and not sold, but I know some will do that then give away or turn up anyway.

50 years ago, no !!!

I went to football regularly on the train with my mates all day, on my paper round money!!

You ain’t doing that nowadays!! :0(

I fully agree about prices. we are all either stupid enough or probably more likely addicted enough to pay it until it really becomes unacceptable for our personal circumstances. The addictive element is a real issue, you feel a real bond with the club and want to be involved in everything they do and that is ultimately exploited but there is no regulation around this as there is with other addictions.

The more successful your club is the worse the exploitation is as you pay more (Platinum) to ensure you get a chance of getting tickets to a final etc.

I love the club and it has given me so much enjoyment through the bad and good times but the cost is becoming hideous. I pay for my own and 3 kids tickets and we have really good seats, I can’t opt out of that for fear that will end up only being able to get seats at the back of the 3rd tier somewhere for some obscure game and pay top whack for those tickets.

The hassle of getting to the game either due to traffic issues or normally how inept the tram system is further takes the enjoyment of attending away. Am I less of a fan, or live the club less- no.
Do I enjoy going as much as I did previously -no

I feel dropping out of the cup schemes may change my opinion as there are just too many games but by doing that I have a much reduced chance of getting reasonably priced and positioned tickets for a final which ultimately leads to me not dropping out of the schemes but praying whenever there is a cup draw. To draw some lower league team and smash them.

Da fuck is wrong with the 3rd tier? I've sat there since 2003. Love it and I sit right at the back.

So you want a seat next to Khaldoon, you only want to pay a fiver for it, you want the success but not all the games, and you want a chauffeur to drive you to and from the games, and to be home 10 minutes after final whistle?
