Most games we can barely hear the south stand. Yes it can make noise but there's a small minority who sit in there with their arms folded and don't get involved!
I'm all for anything that improves the colour and atmosphere of what is supposed to be the main City end. Fans in the south stand need to buy into it or go and sit somewhere else.
I'd love to see our fans do something on the scale of Dortmund fans who in my opinion are the best ive seen at our ground,

Just a quick point of order on this one. 1894 were given unequivocal backing by the supporters club branches who voted to fund those banners so they have sought opinion permission and support from an organisation with 14000 members. Its not 1894 v the club, it's 1894 with the club. 1894 dont agree with every suggestion the club makes and vice versa but they work together. Inflatables HAVE proved popular. Its been funded by the fans and it's had a hugely positive response on social media. So 1894 will always take a majority of people with them when they do stuff. Not just that here is a way for fans to fund atmosphere related ideas and you have the chance to see that meet fruition. If you have a better idea send it to them and they might look at it

You see, I'm getting a bit hacked off with the fact they've stopped talking to us face-to-face but now communicate with all these faceless "surveys", where the club ask loaded questions, don't publish the results then make the changes they were always going to make without any accountability and supposedly based on 'fan feedback'.
It's getting further and further away from the club I thought I support.
How about installing audio output built into all seats just like aircraft seating and employing john motson full time to commentate live so us quiet ones who cannot sing to save our lives have the option to plug in earphones with very long leads so we can still jump up and down every 5 minutes, although I don't want to make it sound like prawn sandwich brigadish ......I don't mean wearing headphones because that defeats the whole object of building an atmosphere but a singular earplug would suffice......

Just one of the bizarre ideas brought up on cityvoice, mind you after some of the recent introductions to the 'matchday experience' this season I wouldn't be surprised if the club did act upon this idea.

But my question related to atmosphere, flags, banner, streamers do not sing, cheer, shout. They are just hung over the hoardings, waved about or thrown about. So why do we need them or if people want them why don't they pay for them themselves? I have two flags, which I use now and again, but I bought them, I display them and I put them over the 'fencing' in front of me. People who sit across the aisle from me also have their own banners/flags which they have been using for years.
Again I am not criticising just asking and just curious as to why you think they are the things that create an atmosphere. Inanimate objects do not have a voice. The supporters do.

The kippax died in 1994. A generation has grown up with all seater stadiums. People have been split up. You have to spend money on creating the conditions because things aren't the same anymore. It's about fighting apathy and in terms of songs 1894 website will be out shortly and we will get the songs out to the supporters through that

And jrb. Yes the club have helped. They helped get us over the line with the card display v bayern and provided logistical support to make that happen.
