Am I the only person in the world who has never seen or never wishes to see a Star Wars film?

Nope. I've tried to maintain interest for longer than half hour on some of them but just to much to bare , chuck em in with Harry Potter, Lord Of The Rings and the Bond films for over hyped nauseating shite.

Each to their own and all that, but The Lord of the Rings films are incredible.

That light sabre looks stupid though, why do they keep introducing a new one for each episode? With all the technology in star wars with x wings, snow speeders, a death star, they can not seem to develop one good fucking light sabre!

A lot of folk seem to have a problem with the claymore-style lightsaber (which does seem a bit daft).

Nice to see modern footage of X-wings and the Falcon looks pretty sweet.

Seeing the X-wings gave me goosebumps.

I quite liked the lightsaber.

Star Wars, Harry Potter and LOTR is overrated. Incredible.

I really feel sorry for anyone that doesn't like those movies.

I like the double ended light sabre preferred by Maul, they havent really done anything else before other than change the colour or angled the hilt - have they??

I have to admit although no where near as good there were some really good bits in the episodes i,ii & iii
Just the first few minutes if TFM when Jinn sinks is lightsabre into the blast doors to get through. The fast running was a bit silly to say the least though !

I keep looking at that gif of the falcon over the desert. Its great when people put familiar things (like the x-wings) in places you wouldnt normally expect to see them. Excellent vision.

I am however a massive fan of Alien, Matrix 1+2, Terminator 1+2 , Godfather 1+2, All the Batmans and many more!

Looks great and really looking forward to it. I didn't like the JJ Abrams remake of the Star Trek films at all, When watching the trek films always thought he would of been better suited to Star Wars and lets be honest barring a fuck up of epic proportions he should at least deliver a better film then all the prequels combined.

As for the lightsaber don't like it all, Why not just use the same one as Darth Maul used.

Weren't all nine Star Wars films written at the same time in the 70s? If so, you'd expect a lot of people to be aware of the plot, to some extent.

I thought that. Books of 7, 8 and 9 are written and in publication, have been for 20 years, so do the films follow those or no?

All nine episodes were written by Lucas in the first draft, the 3 films that are been made will probably have a little of that story but I think Disney wants to go its own way, disney have effectively written off the expanded universe so nothing in the films will have any continuity with them. Everything we see will be new the Thrawn trilogy which was written in the early 90s was fantastic as was many of the books that came out. I think one of the main characters will be killed off I reckon Han or Chewy as Ford wanted Solo to die in Jedi but Lucas didn't.

I thought the point of the new sabre was practicality. In pretty much every film theres someone who has a hand chopped off by a light sabre so makes sense to have one with a cross guard like a claymore to stop that happening.

How can a grown man like harry potter movies?
I watched the LOTR movies but wouldn't exactly say I like them.
Just entertainment that allows you to disengage your brain for a couple of hours.
