Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi

Jedi is both plural and singular so could refer to Luke and Rey rather than one or the other.

The red logo signifies a darker turn of events seeing as its the colour of the Dark Side.

You may be right but red is also one of the colours of the Resistance.

They could well follow the pattern of parts 4 to 7 - a force for good arises followed by the dark side becoming more powerful and then the Jedi triumphant.

Reading about the rumours, viii is going to flashback heavy and fill in gaps from vii (such as, how Kylo Ren became part of the First Order and what happened to Luke post ROTJ). There also rumours of a scene involving Luke and Snoke (rumours, not a spoiler).

If Luke isn't very powerful and does something spectacular, I will be disappointed.

If this guy turned from being an nice chap helping kids in the 70's then there is no hope for any of us.

This never gets old

I reckon this one will be like EBS as its the middle film of the 3 sequels. It'll be a bit darker and will finish negatively.

Force Awakens was a slight let down for me, the death planet idea was a fucking shocker and as a whole film it wasn't as good as Rogue One, which was sublime.

They really need to pull their figures out with this one. I wish it was Gareth Edwards doing this one too.

Disney are really going to ruin this franchise, aren't they?
No?

The Force Awakens and Rogue One are already a humongous step in the right direction compared to Lucas. Prequel trilogy and then 'remastering' the original trilogy endlessly with such improvements as a CGI bug crawling up a CGI Jabba's arse.

in the return of the jedi luke's final mission to become a jedi was to kill his dad darth vader then only you will become a jedi speaks yoda
now watching the new film The Force Awakens when ray finds luke at the end its going to be the start of the training for ray to become a jedi and luke needs to become a jedi lord when he die's and that unspeakable level of the jedi just like the other 3 obi wan kenobi. anakin skywalker. and yoda

Familiarity breeds contempt. A new SW fillum every 10 months is going to ruin it.

TFA and R1 are good, but they are merely rehashes of what went before.

And the old **** from episode 1.
