State pension question...

Anyone interested should read this because it’s much better to have the actual bottom line than to try to sift through the mix of facts and fiction put forward in here.

Must say that I find it puzzling that anyone would turn to an online football forum to try to find out what their government controlled entitlements are when they’re all set out in black and white on gov.uk and available to anyone who has online access.

Can anyone confirm that to receive the 10.1% increase to State Pension this April, you have to have been in receipt of your pension for over 12 months.

I started my SP this Jan and have not received a letter confirming the uplift whereas, Mrs MSB received her letter weeks ago
I started to get my state pension at the end of last June(2022), so about 9 months in total.
And as I posted earlier in this thread, I got my letter informing me of my 10.1% increase a few weeks ago.
Hope that helps you.

No it matters not a jot when you started receiving it everybody gets the increase.

Everyone on benefits gets the 10.1% rise in April, as well as all state pensions. Some additional one off payments, such as cost of living lump sums for those on PIP/DLA, have been delayed for new claimants, but they get paid eventually if you made the cut-off.

As the WASP ladies have found out today they should (but probably never will) receive compensation for not been told about the increase in state pension age. My question has anyone officially received anything telling them the state pension is increasing again, so mine will be 67 not 65 but I don’t remember receiving any notification which is what has been ruled on by the Ombudsman today?
