It’s already 66 and has been since 2020.As the WASP ladies have found out today they should (but probably never will) receive compensation for not been told about the increase in state pension age. My question has anyone officially received anything telling them the state pension is increasing again, so mine will be 67 not 65 but I don’t remember receiving any notification which is what has been ruled on by the Ombudsman today?
The Pensions Act 2014 brought forward the increase to 67 to between 2026 and 2028.
The current legislated pathway is for the State Pension age to rise to 67 between 2026 and 2028 and 68 between 2044 and 2046.
But as the WASPI women found those dates can change…
