Hanu Berarilor Casa Soare in the centre Unirii is well known for the best Romanian food, and a lovely place to eat.
Caru Cu Bere should also be first stop for anyone who likes food and drink when in Bucharest, again centrally located.
And run by the same people as the first one, Hanu Berarilor Casa Elena Lupescu is another centrally located place for traditional food, such as mici (which is like a meat sausage type thing, served often with bread and mustard, which tastes like a really good chargrilled burger)
You've also got many differing restaurants Italian, French etc, plus the western stuff like KFC, Mcdonalds, Subway and a Hard Rock cafe (but well north of the city, so probs not an option for people staying centrally)
Mecure or Novotel are decent hotels, so can't really go wrong there mate, enjoy !
Cheers mate. Will definitely head to Caru Cu Bere during my trip.
If the metro does stop at 11pm, and the game doesn't finish until at least 11.30, how easy will it be to get back? Will there be taxis waiting around?
