my take on this (which is very incomplete and I don't have all the pieces of the jigsaw) is that the judgment of our management was that he was in the top 5% of the players for talent, but the bottom 5% of the players for 'mental toughness'; hence he was marginalised, struggled with his form, and was eventually sold as part of our dealings with our friends from last night.

I hope he can move on through this and rebuild himself - whatever 'demons' he may be harbouring.

it doesn't bother me what he says, but the guy has something - even if it's having a hard time 'expressing' itself of late. He didn't win our player of the season for nothing.

personally I'd like nothing better for him to do well wherever he's playing (bar ManUre - if he ever did end up there then all bets are off!) and do some damage to those teams around us; other than this, so what??

Indeed, I'll be interested to see how you can defend him as a City fan - anyone with half a brain knows Dismal's just wumming and wumming poorly so he doesn't count. Sadly, he's been nothing but a mouthy gobshite since he left, despite being paid hush money (hope he gets his arse sued from under him), and he's absolutely refused to see that his own overinflated ego is impeding his talent and potential, and these are the words of someone who thought he was worth another season. Mancini was spot on though and I was wrong.
