Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Doesn't have to be English born of course, hence the investment in the academy and the youth players. Actually, just for the pedants out there, he isn't English born anyway :)
Wow, yeah...of course. It was a little too early for me I guess!

No, he's clearly not but if we give Sterling, for example 200k/week, do you think Sané after a season when he makes the step up will compare himself with Sterling, or will he be comparing himself with KDB?

Do you think Jesus when he finally nails down a starting spot or has a 25-30 goal season will compare himself with Sterling, or Aguero?

My guess is they'll be comparing themselves to the highest earners and demand the same, regardless of Sterling's salary.

If we're going to have a team of superstars like Pep's Barcelona, we're going to end up with a wage bill like theirs one way or another.

So the academy has to contribute to the first team very soon

Ian Wright was right yesterday when he said the shit he gets has to be racism it can’t be anything else etc, well done Mr Wright let’s hope this shuts the cnunts up somehow I doubt it though

Raheem is £170k a week before bonuses, so when I said Sane is on £65k a week and is essentially on a third of his present wages, I meant just in the ball park.

De Bruyne's basic wage is far higher than £250k a week - it's over £300k a week when his bonuses are included.

It’s tough one but I would have thought we would have looked to renew Sane’s after last season and put him on around the 170K mark.

In my view he more than deserves it and would probably give us 2 more years and than if he did perform to an elite level raise it again.

Do you think this is all money or any part being whether he maintains first choice??

Sane on 65k week so be good then now to extend it to 2023 offer him 100k a week

Could we get/do we have a thread similar to the Summer In & Out 2018 thread that has all the players with how long they have on their contract?
