Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Yes he should, if he decides to go elsewhere then it shows a lack of loyalty. Not saying he owes much loyalty but when you consider we had to endure two average seasons from him it’s a bit insulting that he has one good season and wants to piss off. The team won us the league not him, he is a great player who I think many will hope will stay. He won’t be boo’d Or get abuse like Liverpool fans did if he does decide to leave but I think many fans will have a sour taste left. We will remain classy with it all as ever. I’m really confused how people defend him if it is all about money yet wet themselves when Rooney done it to United. Sure he can negotiate but if it is all down to greed then that’s just a little sad. It’s all it can be about because otherwise it would be done and dusted like every other player who has renewed.

When were you classy?? You always seem very negative. Just my opinion of course.

He shouldn’t get any shit whilst the negotiations are taking place, the same way he shouldn’t be defended because both ways no one knows what the fucks going on.

You agree he shouldn't get any shit whilst negotiations are ongoing.

That makes sense, but after saying that, why would you expect people to not defend him when he does get shit which you yourself say he doesn't deserve?

Press are saying Raheem has pulled out of the England squad with a back injury, if true well done lad, concentrate on City.

Good points.
He said he left Liverpool not because of the money but because of the chance to win silverware.
He won silverware and we are currently favourites in all competitions including CL,, i.e in front of Barca, PSG and Real Madrid.
Why is he stalling?
Because what really motivates him IS money. To what extent his agent is muddling his thinking is not clear but we shouldn't destabilise the salary structure at the club just for his benefit.
We also have to comply with FFP rules whether we agree with them or not.
1 good season, 2 average seasons and a poor world cup.
Let's not get carried away

City pay him the De Bruyne money or close to it or he goes on a free or at a reduced transfer fee. It's simple.

Given his age, quality, club and international experience along with commercial value, Madrid, will throw down that transfer fee/ personal terms quicker than you can say "Tattoo".

In his position taking into consideration again his age he has no peer in world football. City cant replace him, not because they haven't got the money but because as things stand that player is yet to come on the scene.

Madrid have just lost their Galactico talisman.
They are experiencing a slump in attendances and the galaticos that are left are aging.
All of those above mentioned conditions play nicely into Sterlings negotiation strategy.

If Mc Manaman, Beckham or even fuckin Thomas Gravesen, got game time back in the day at Madrid, what makes you think Sterling wont get minutes in that team.
Whether we like it or not Sterling is holding all the cards.
I don’t have the time or inclination to discuss all the ways I think you are mistaken, but a quick synopsis might suffice.

He definitely has the option to hold out, as does every player, which begs the question why every player does not just run down their contract, take a big pay check from the next mug club to come along and mint it?

If he wants to play in England (which is the only league in the world where his lack of technical ability allows at this level), and wants to make £10M+ per year, just from playing and before endorsements, and play for a team where the manager picked him up off the floor and is helping turn him into a player, and where he will win trophies every year or so while challenging for the very best trophies in the world, then he will sign. If not, good luck to him...he will need it!

He has a very special situation at City. He should recognize it.

How is the manager turning him into a player if he lacks technical ability?
