Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Sometimes it's worth just taking a moment to realise United have handed Luke Shaw a £52m contract for....nothing? For starting half a dozen games?

Incredibly, The Times' Manchester correspondent went as far as to describe it as "a great deal" for the club.

I see the Google AI team has implemented a few improvements to the ‘adaptive recursive social engagement’ bots over the last few weeks. Their productivity has shot up substantially across multiple threads.

@Henkeman Have you been tracking their activity?

@karen7 If you were to rate their efficiency on a scale of 1 to 10, where would you put them?

I am completing a survey for Ric to see if this beta phase is worth an investment in to a full roll out. ;-)
That went completely over my head lol,i'm going to take a guess and say yes

Moving on to the topic on hand, would you agree that you'd like to see him being pushed towards signing a new deal either way (to avoid a potential Bosman scenario) or do you lean towards those who argue that it's his right to look out for his best interests and look for a signing-on fee with his next club, and as such aren't really that bothered with the fact that he hasn't signed yet?

That's just silly. I understand that club correspondents tend to show some bias in favor of the club's they're covering but this is just insultingly silly. Then again, there is a young reporter with connections to Mourinho (Duncan Castles) who acts as though he were a fan typing in an unmoderated forum, rather than a reporter.

He should always look out for himself, short careers etc, but he can do that by signing a new contract i.e. He doesn't have to leave to get what he wants

That’s alright, it’s a reference to another comment I made in another thread, so it’s tenuous at best.

I am just trying to bring levity to the proceedings.

After all, Raheem’s contract situation is not a life or death situation, no matter what the Daily Mail may say. ;-)

Young?

He's closer to 50 than 20.
