Agree with all that. I think Sterling has played his way into a situation where he is justified to expect to match the higher earners. Throw in his age, potential and that he could potentially run down his contract, I think giving him broadly what he's asking for is the way forward for the club.I think in terms of influence on the team and the games this season, anyone would rate them as following:
1) Sterling = Kevin = David
2) Sane
3) Jesus
Jesus cannot complain about sterling contract as the difference between the influence is currently like day and light. I like Jesus but he is not making key contributions. And as good as Sane is, he is a year behind sterling in development and consistency.
