Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Correct. These are the stats in the premier league until end of March. Our boy Raheem aint too shabby and City as a team has a converstion rate of 20.9%.

75-80%? Don’t the very best strikers in world football have about a 20% conversion rate?
The very best hit 25%+ 1 in 4.
The world's best at the moment is Neymar at 1 in 4.2 (23.8%)

These don't take into account the degree of difficulty to the chance created, a volley (like the one Leroy scored at Everton) that's missed from 10 yards carried the same weight as the type of chance Raheem missed at Burnley from 2 yards
Expected goals do take into account the degree of difficulty just like your response shows your degree of arse.

Not being negative, I'm just posting a fact
FWIW I think he's had a blinding season but there's room for improvement, sorry if you don't agree

Always room for improvement, Aguero misses his own share of sitters but doesn’t seem to get as much grief as Sterling, the point being that stat site with the percentages worked out will also include all the sitters other folk like Kane have also missed, it will even out, just not sure why a city fan would want to go out of their way to disprove one of their owns shooting percentage stats, even more so when they then say I think he has had a blinding season, which he did have I agree.

You cant go off stats to value a player, whats next we ditch scouts and just look at whats on paper, we would have some horrendous players. We have gone stat mad, it just seems to be another angle for people to look at that cant see a genuine player. Yes all the top players have good stats, but not all players with good stats are top players.

Aguero misses chances fair enough, but not as many as sterling or the clear sitters. Ageuro also creates a lot of his own goals from nothing which makes him a top player.

I hope the contract decision makers have the following thought in mind, he can have a 4 year contract with a 15% pay increase with extra bonuses for goals, if he doesn't accept that then stay on his 2 year contract and assess what he is worth after the new season.

Cant remember the exact price, but did we pay 50m for sterling ? Is there a club out there that would offer 60m and pay him 200k a week ? I doubt it.

I am not knocking the guy so much as having a reality check, I would like sterling to stay but in the best interest of the club. I would sooner look after Sane / jesus / ederson / foden

I think he gets panned for his misses because of the nature of them and I have to admit that whilst he gets a lot of unwarranted flak, this aspect of his game irritates me. It’s his shooting style that does my head in. He seems to want to prod or stab the ball in meaning if he doesn’t connect perfectly, the ball bounces off his foot whereas if he shot properly, he’d fluke a few more.

Call it arse all you want but he needs to improve his 'conversion rate', like most have said
I am not his biggest fan but I think he gets a hard time from the press and some fans. His stats as outlined above are not bad and he was certainly much improved last season, but I feel he still has a bit further to go. He seems to get frustrated when he is harried by the like of Liverpool or when he has no space to run into such as the other night against Tunisia. His final ball has improved but there is still a degree of inconsistency. That said he still has time to get better and is young enough to appear in at least two more WC's.

Not on this subject you don't.

To be fair our resident ITKs pass duff info as definitive info.....
