Liverpool and their fans have viciously abused Raheem on social media for years. They are a disgrace and have contributed a lot to the ongoing media attack on the lad.
 
I am just in despair. All the education and all the effort to get rid of racism doesn't reach scum like this. Even Ouseley seemed to blame the victim somewhat for not complaining to the ref. Jeez. I have not read every post in this thread, but I agree that the press attacks on Raz create a climate where these scumbags think they have carte blanche to behave like animals. Raz himself is quoted as having said that press treatment of black players borders on racism. Interestingly he uses press comments on Tosin as an example. Are the journos aware how their little game impacts on Raz and encourages these twats?
ACTION. The club must publically call out the press every time. Do it loud and clear, no quiet words. Address the press openly at the start of Peps next presser and remind them they are there at the club's invitation. I never agreed with Siralex banning people, but we could threaten any paper publishing this crap with a sine die ban from Etihad.
ACTION. Write to the club and demand they do this. City's silence also must take some of the blame.

God help us, what a disgrace for Chelsea and football generally. I hope Raz stuffs it down their throats with his performances.
