About Jovetic. I fallow his game since he made his senior debut for Partizan back in '06. What a special player. From the first day he would stand up with his unique ways..... Now days he is perceived as striker, what is a product of his last years in Fiorentina. That makes a bit of confusion amoungst English fans who didn't had a chance to watch him play. He is an number 10 player, and his greatest strenght is his movement and vision for the game, witch is on level with lets say Iniesta. He is able of using left and right foot in shooting, passing or dribling. His ball contrtol, abillity to change directions, and pace wherever he need to gives him space to create, and when he does, it is with great precision. I can't see more compleate player of that level in ManCity. Now what makes him lethal in and around the box, as an striker, is his first touch (Bergkamp like) combined with precise shooting, and you could see that in second goal against Milan. I read an comment City fan made about how City will have an 20mill "new" singind for next season. If you take a look at football market now days I would say City's got an 100mill player for next season(if he stays fit). For me the key for Man City's succes next year is playing together Nasri, Silva, Aguero and Jovetic. You remember what were City's limits in CL last year. Round of 16. Lost to Barca in gemes where City' s strikers did nothing. They had nothing on Barca with style of football they played in PL where they are able to keep ball possession and create chances from wide....Aguero and Jovetic in kind of free roaming attacking roles can be killers. If all stay fit, this could be a year for City. God bless, sorry for possible spelling mistakes. English is not even my third language.

Welcome Marco.

Thank you for the information on Stevan. I am really excited about how good he can be for City and how good he can really become, if he stays fit. And we all hope he does stay fit.

Yes, his second goal was brilliant, but the way he took the chance for the first with a snap-shot that beat the goalkeeper at his near post was also very good.

I hope we will hear more from you about Stevan and maybe our other players from the Balkans.

And your English is very good.

Welcome to the forum Marko.
I agree that he is clearly one of the most talented players at City (although Yaya is surely the most complete player at the club).
He is definitely a fantastic player, but is his vision and movement really on a par with Iniesta? Iniesta is one of the greatest players of the last 10 years, and movement and vision are probably his top attributes. However, I clearly know less about Stevan than you and what you said about Jovetic's "Bergkamp like" touch and "precise shooting" sounds very exciting.
Also, £100m? Really? I mean, I know the market is crazy at the moment but even Suarez didn't cost that nor did Bale, Fabregas, or Rodriguez.

Even though I question some of the statements in your post, I am still very excited about your enthusiasm and superlatives.

Oh, and (as has been said) your English is very good (better than a lot on here).

:D 100m. I was joking about football market and "fair play" now days. About his comparation to Iniesta. Iniesta is lighter weighted, smaller player and there movement styles are therefor diferent. Iniesta is quicker and better, but Jovetic has that fundamentaly same philosophy to use space around him and with top first touch, dribbling, and movement in terms of decision making makes himself space to advance attacking movement or make a "killer pass" moving and executing with right or left foot. Iniesta is a legend and for me what makes him able to play like he does is his kind of powerfull balans on the ball. Using Jovetic with Aguero can realy improve City's attacking movement and make Aguero even more productiv (remember his days playing with Diego Forlan in AtlMadrid) I think that City have quality to evolute forward from last season and in their own way emulate Bayern or Barca, and even challenge them in CL. Are they thinking about purchasing another LB and RB. I think that Kolarov can be great, but allso can be a problem in some games. Clishy is allso good player but City could realy use some younger yet fast left back with better tehnique than Clishy or Kolarov. Samo for right back possition. Zabaleta is great solid player, so is new player Sagna but team could realy bennefit from having a younger talent backing up Zabaleta's place in team. I watched Chambers and I think he can grow to be a great player maybe even instantly...
It will always be a pleasure to inform, read and share opinions about a football club that I enjoy to watch and there for support. Forca ManCity.

Its a pretty tasty prospect once he gets more games under his belt in the PL to see what he can do. He looked good at the end of last season, but seemed to be lacking some sharpness and real fitness. Now he has that and starts to play regularly in the prem he should really come on and I can see him scoring and creating a lot of goals. He seems to have that knack of being in the right areas to create chances. Even when he wasn't really fit last season he seemed to score quite a few goals.

What is fantastic about this is that it takes some pressure of rushing back Kun and hopefully gives us the chance to really bring him back in the correct way. Jovetic carries on with what we've seen so far and stays injury free should add another dimension to the team.

I said it last season that this lad would be our best signing of the 4 (Negredo, Fernandinho, Navas) and although he will have to be outstanding this season to top Fernandinho, the man just oozes class when he is fully fit. I love his movement when he lays the ball off to a teammate, a very forward thinking player. He is a very unique player within our squad because he is probably the only player in our side who has a bit of Nasri about him and a bit of Aguero about him. Yes, he might not have the pace of Aguero, but when in front of goal, he can certainly finish and can play on the last shoulder of the defender. He can also create something out of nothing, has excellent ability on the ball and a very classy first touch. I think if Jovetic can stay fit all season, he is going to be like a new signing. The class is there for all to see, i think he will be absolute dynamite this season. My kind of player, absolutely.

Paddy Power has him at 40/1 to be Prem top scorer. The way he's been playing pre-season that has to be worth a fiver of anyones money.

Bundle of smiley shoot on site fantastic player when he came on last season ...Hopfully not as many injuries this season ....Looking forward to watching this lad play ...Superstar in the making.
