Mirror say Roma interested in him for £25m if they sell Benatia.

Also still whisperings we are after Falcao.

Like Jovetic and he just needs to calm down a bit when trying to impress but can see him moving if we have a chance on either Falcao or Isco

I say bollocks.

Stevan is just finding his feet in the squad and is developing into a great player.

We need four forwards and Falcao's wages would be much higher than Jojo's.

Leave well alone.

I agree just stating what was reported.

The problem is everyone wants a quick fix and time is no longer given and I think if we have a chance on either then we will sacrifice Jovetic.

I hope Pellegrini will let him compete for a place with Nasri too.

It is obvious he can play as an attacking the midfielder.

Yes, but can he defend as effectively as Nasri? That is the harder thing to do when the natural inclination is to attack.

I'm not yet 100% convinced....I am about 98% though. His approach play, vision, awareness, movement etc. is exceptional. But, he still has a bit of 'blue arsed fly' about him in the box.
He played well against the Geordies but a few times did everything right and then panicked when it was time to pull the trigger. If he can learn just a bit of Aguero's finishing coolness, he WILL be outstanding!

Yep, definitely needs to be a bit more composed. Still finding his feet in the prem though. It's a quicker pace but maybe he'll elarn that although he generally has to be quicker he doesn't have to thrash at the ball so much when around the area

Falcao is better than both jovetic and isco. Yet falcao is 28 and jovetic is 24. Our average age isn't so healthy and in a couple of years we will have loads of players 30+ years of age. I rate jovetic better than isco to so let's stand by stevan for a season, he's got a lot of catching up to do but he will prove the doubters wrong.

I agree with this entirely, he seems to panic just a little too much but I think it's a sign of how eager it is to make his mark and show us what he can do, it can only be a good thing because he's got such good technique that eventually a decent amount of these shots are going to be in the net or at least causing problems. Everything in the way he moves shows he's a top player and I think once his first few big goals go in, he'll gain some composure and could certainly reach Aguero levels.

Think he was trying a little bit too hard for a goal on Sunday, but his interplay was brilliant. He never stops moving, any aspiring players should watch him - he has the ability to win us tight games because he doesn't stand still and let the play pass him by or isolate himself like Dzeko and Aguero can sometimes, he drops deep and is always running and trying to make space for himself and others. His ball over the top for Dzeko after 3mins deserved a goal, would have been class. I feel like he will really take us to another level this season, sharing the burden of creativity and goals from wide, in the hole and up front.

He is almost a combination of all of our best players and with a bit of confidence and a few games under his belt he can really make an impact. Players like Silva, Dzeko, Aguero need to learn how to play with him and understand that he will always be willing to receive the ball.

His movement really is incredible. He always shows for his teammates, comes across the pitch to make a passing option available. He has more giveaways as a result, but for all the stick he took in the matchday thread, he sent Dzeko and Nasri clear through on goal, setup Dzeko's header, and created a few good chances for himself. Quite a contribution on an off day.

He's a bit wasteful at times, and in our team that really stands out because our players very rarely take chances in possession, but in a lot of ways I like the wildcard that his directness and willingness to try something difficult provides -- it makes us less predictable and his movement forces defenders to make choices. Sometimes I think teams get comfortable defending the same patterns and movements from our side, Jovetic offers something quite different.

On the downside, I think you could see his teammates a little frustrated with him at times this weekend. He needs to be careful not to go too far in the other direction.

Maybe Jojo could be played as an attacking midfielder in place of Sam when we have all three of our CMs in the team. That way, there should be less defending for him to do.

I'm sure he could. It's where he's played for the majority of his career.

Some silly bollocks about Juventus making a bid for Jovetic, along with Spanish clubs monitoring Negredo.

hmm.
