Stevan Jovetic (continued)

This guy deserve to start EVERY game for City.

It was joy to watch him play with Silva.

He's a very good player who could be very important for us this season.

But I do wish he'd rein back on the attempted shots from distance.

At the moment he has to be third choice behind Kun and Edin. I think they will definitely be our top choices to start.

In relation to his general play, he looks like he is trying so hard to impress that it is proving counter-productive. He is taking options which perhaps are not the best because he wants to secure his place in the team. I am sure he will settle down after the next few games.

He will be an important part of the squad this season, but nevertheless on the pecking order I would say he will be behind Edin and Kun.

Offers something unique, so comfortable in possession but needs a mobile striker. He would work best with aguero ahead of him.

At the start of last season, he looked as if he was developing just such a partnership with Negredo.

Mirror say Roma interested in him for £25m if they sell Benatia.

Also still whisperings we are after Falcao.

Like Jovetic and he just needs to calm down a bit when trying to impress but can see him moving if we have a chance on either Falcao or Isco

I say bollocks.

Stevan is just finding his feet in the squad and is developing into a great player.

We need four forwards and Falcao's wages would be much higher than Jojo's.

Leave well alone.

Spot on. Jovetic was trying to do too much on his own and hindered the flow of our game - at times!

He will settle down and hopefully make telling contributions throughout the season.

Think he was trying a little bit too hard for a goal on Sunday, but his interplay was brilliant. He never stops moving, any aspiring players should watch him - he has the ability to win us tight games because he doesn't stand still and let the play pass him by or isolate himself like Dzeko and Aguero can sometimes, he drops deep and is always running and trying to make space for himself and others. His ball over the top for Dzeko after 3mins deserved a goal, would have been class. I feel like he will really take us to another level this season, sharing the burden of creativity and goals from wide, in the hole and up front.

He is almost a combination of all of our best players and with a bit of confidence and a few games under his belt he can really make an impact. Players like Silva, Dzeko, Aguero need to learn how to play with him and understand that he will always be willing to receive the ball.

I'm not yet 100% convinced....I am about 98% though. His approach play, vision, awareness, movement etc. is exceptional. But, he still has a bit of 'blue arsed fly' about him in the box.
He played well against the Geordies but a few times did everything right and then panicked when it was time to pull the trigger. If he can learn just a bit of Aguero's finishing coolness, he WILL be outstanding!
