Top top player, the true successor to Tevez.

Different type of player to Tevez and much more skilful.

He reminds me a lot of Tevez. The way they both drop deep and can move the ball around, don't shy from shot either. He is bigger though.

Thought he was top today.

Nice to see Navas today and his ball to Aguero was perfect! Yaya might still need a couple games. I really enjoyed the second half overall minus Lambert's goal. Excoted to see how we play now against the rest of the top teams! Champs league draw too coming up, good time to be a blue

I know, Tevez was much more aggressive and Jove is much more silky on the ball.

They both have that low centre of gravity and tight ball control though. Jove showed real intensity to get to that ball ahead of Moreno.

Jove will be the difference this year, I guarantee it.

Agree with you 100 per cent.

So good at finishing and playing quick one touch football. He only gets in trouble when he tries to do too much.[/quote

I think he was fantastic in the few games we saw last year, I agree with him trying too much, possibly a little greedy at times, but only because he wanted to score for "US", I think he felt he needed to show what he was about! I reckon this will be his year, injury free and this guy will score 20 goals by New years day!

Well done to the posters (myself included) who saw the world class potential in Jovetic. He's just got that something special that most other footballers haven't got. Please stay fit Stevan and you will become a legend at City. We are so lucky to have him to compliment the other world class stars at City.

I agree with the sentiment but gloating is poor form.

I have all the time in the world for this guy and want him to be a success here badly. He distinctly comes across as someone who is immensely popular within the squad and gets on with everyone.

He has the skill, talent and drive to become a legend of this club. Hope it works out.

Jovetic has been the best player on the squad for us this season if you include the pre-season matches. He has a wonderful combination of technical ability (2nd goal today) and the hunger for goals that great poachers possess (1st goal today). The second goal today was absolutely beautiful! He even showed his aerial ability on that corner when he nearly missed the top corner. His confidence is at an all time high. He's quickly climbing my list of favorite players on the squad.

Hopefully, he and Aguero can both stay healthy. What an amazing 1-2 punch up top!

Yes I know he looks like a girl, but he can really play!

Must have been the hair and violet shirt. The way he's playing recently nobody is mistaking him for a girl these days!
