Stevan Jovetic (continued)

I cannot understand why Jovetic didn't start tonight, he's such a lively player who drags defenders out of position, exactly what we lacked in the first half when faced with a blanket defence. It was no coincidence that we found a few holes in the Villa back line after he came on.

When you have the wagons circled and the entire fleet of Stagecoach buses and coaches parked in one half, a player who RUNS forward and into a defensive line can often be the answer. Beat the man and the whole of the first line is redundant. Panic sets in, and when Jovetic has come on this season that has been his game. Go straight where it hurts.

He did exactly what we needed. He came on the those two lines of back four's went all over the shop. Pelle got it right bringing him on, and that substitution was one of the catalysts for us winning that game.

Will he get a PL medal?

Did he manage enough games?
Yes, 13 appearences although I'm sure it's not based on that rule anymore.

7 goals in an injury hit, stop and start campaign with no run in the team. I think we may see big things from this lad.

He'll get a nice rest over summer. Could be a big season for him next year

He should be starting ahead if Nasri. He offers more in attack and defence. Said this weeks ago and got lambasted.

Definitely far,far more potent than Nasri and offers something different in the way he really drives at players and can skin them so easily, also with his good long range shooting. It's just about fitting him in. At this point of the run in I can see why he's on the bench because he can make a big impact when coming on

When he come on yesterday I'm sure the commentator said he's not been playing because he's been poor when he has played.

I've been impressed by him, his attitude when he plays is great.

I really think this guy is going to be a huge star for us in the next couple of years.

Hopefully a blessing he's been able to keep his head down without too much expectation. He's arguably the most talented player we bought last season and we've seen how well the others turned out!

That was clueless Carragher. No mention of injuries.

He is quite unlike any of our other players.

Very direct and confident in his ability to shoot from range and beat a man.

Really good player and I hope he isn't starting because Pellegrini doesn't want to upset a winning team.

Hope next season he is integral.
