Stevan Jovetic (continued)

Whatever his goal per minute ratio is, i think it's fair to say that he hasn't scored many important goals. Apart from the chelsea goal, has he scored any that mattered in the context of the game. It's much easier to score when tyou come on with city on top and the opposition tired and already defeated.

I want to be wrong but i think he tries too many fancy flicks and loses the ball too often to be as good as we need.

He has played 569 minutes and scored 6 goals. So a goal every game or there or there abouts. Not too bad to say he's been plagued by injury since arriving. A full pre season and next year we will see the real JOVETIC imo.

He'll be like a new signing.

The only summer signing we made that I was really looking forward to seeing play for us.

if we can mop up for him occasionally though he has the potential to be our x-factor. His ability to dribble and shoot from distance gives us almost a Yaya-lite to throw on and his stamina and drive offers us a real terrier to disrupt defences.

When has he really had chance to score those important goals? I can only think of him starting against Chelsea recently and he did it there.

Thought he was pivotal in the League Cup demolition of Wigan. I know it's only Wigan but we did go on to lift the Trophy.

Chelsea as well like you say.

My main complain about him is that he tries to many Hollywood passes, flicks etc.. and breaks momentum of our attacks with those as many of those balls finish at opposition.

He surely has a talent but less of showman stuff please.

I think that is a side-effect of his injury problems. It means when he does play I think he feels like he has to show-off for the fans and prove he is a great player. Give him a run of games and the confidence should, ironically, see the showman stuff quieten down.
