Stevan Jovetic (part 2)

No, he wanted to join Juve earlier in the summer but they wouldn't cough up quite enough. I think they offered about £15m + two players and Fiorentina told them to piss off. Now it's just City... well, Gazzetta mentioned Chelsea but they have no room for yet another player like Jo-Jo.

Either as a 4-2-3-1 like that, or with Silva and Co deeper in midfield in a 4-3-3, Jovetic seems like a good fit to the system. Gives a bit of width that we lacked badly last year.
Maybe the only reason we couldnt score as much last year was because we had no width and other teams just parked the bus. A simple view is too plow on and buy another striker to get more goals, but Pellers seems to be of the opinion that our lads can score the goals, and its the build up that will make the difference.

that's why I think Navas is a brilliant signing and Jovetic is more of the same type (Maybe not as good of an out-and-out winger, but he'll give us width and thats what matters!

Twitter this is not.

Sounds like there was a bunch of Fiorentina fans outside their offices waiting for Mario Gomez to arrive, and Jovetic was allowed to leave Training by the Club (presumably to tie up his Transfer), so ended up having to pass through the group - some of whom shouted (to paraphrase) 'Piss Off, Juventino' (Juventus Fan). This was slightly awkward for the player.

Soes does this mean he was originally a Juventus supporter, or because he is departing to them??

I don't know why they called him that, but its most likely because he made initial comments about only wanting to move to Juventus - who Fiorentina hate.

It would be like Zaba (a player who is held in similar esteem at City, and has been here a similar amount of time) saying he only wanted to move to Everton or Liverpool or somewhere like that - a Club that we hate, but who aren't our main rivals.

Even if he then ended up going to Fiorentina, some fans would probably still call him a bin-dipping c*nt or something of that ilk because of the comments he'd made.

I knew Fior hate Juventus, because of the Baggio move years ago, well not because of, but you know what I mean. I wasn't aware of Juve's initial interest this Summer. Cheers OP
