And if, as is likely, the 23-year-old striker signs for Manuel Pellegrini it will end the guessing game over who will join Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko on the Blues’ striker roster for the new season.

Pellegrini has cast his eyes over Sevilla’s Alvaro Negredo, Oscar Cardoza at Benfica, Osvaldo at Roma and even Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Paris St Germain but all signs are that it will be Fiorentina star Jovetic who will be penning a £100,000 a week plus deal.

The rag Spencer would say that, he'd be mortified if City signed two more decent players!

I havent seen him play and got some mxed reviews on him. So how good is he? good, very good, excellent, world class?

Currently very good, potential to be the latter thing I won't say. Should be in our starting 11 without a doubt.
