I think City have a price/valuation for every player going into talks and they seem to perfer to walk away than going over that valuation. The longer this is going on the less confident I am...Teams know what we offer and nothing stopping a team like United offering alittle more to beat us to the deal! I wouldnt be shocked if we walked away from deal instead of upping our offer to scare off other teams...hope they surprise me tho!

I do wish Txiki would pay the asking price for players like Jovetic, if United bid €30m they will get him, we look to be bidding around the €25 mark.

With United looking at him that tells me Rooney is off.

Well we have had one deal hijacked I am hoping that we have learnt a lesson and don't let it happen again.

To be honest I don't mind if we walk away from this deal instead of getting into a bidding war or paying over the odds, I rate him he is a good player who potentially could be great but we have very good players in the positions he can play in Aguero, Nasri and Silva. Think Negredo is a more important signing. Ideally would have both, or maybe Ljajic as a cheaper option who is younger, of a similar mould and was of a similar standard last year.

I love Jovetic, I really do.

But paying 30+ for him is robbery by FIO. He's not worth that price right now.

But if you really want a guy, sometimes you gotta pay over the odds

You are paying for potential if anything, the lad definitely has a bright future ahead of him and it's only a matter of time he ends up with a top club.
