If Dzeko does end up going, how can Jovetic be his replacement? I though he was a midfielder/winger - some say he is a second strker.

If Dzeko leaves, surely we would go after an out and out stiker?

I must say though, I want Dzeko playing on Sunday but ends up getting no minutes then he is leaving.
Jovetic and Tevez = second strikers? Aguero and Balo as the nines? Think that would wok well with rotation. Better balance than with Dzeko imo. Numerous partnerships there. Means Bob can rest Silva more often as well.

Brilliant players technically, but it leaves us without the aerial threat of Dzeko and (as underused as it is) his ability as a brilliant poacher. Fantastic players but if you're dealing comfortably with 4 of them (say Aguero, Tevez, Jovetic, Silva / Nasri), being able to add another incredibly similar player to the mix won't change the dynamic as much as being able to introduce a completely different type of player.
Guidetti and Balo both 6ft so I don't think thats much of a problem.

Re: Jovetic

Maybe Dzeko is being allowed to go based on the fact that when a hardman is needed (to muscle central defenders) Yaya can be pushed up and when a target man (to trap the ball and hold off a CB) it's Balotelli?

I'd like to keep Dzeko because he scores vital goals for us but maybe Mancini sees more from others in the long term.

I hate to mention long term when mentioning Yaya - how the hell are we going to replace him in a few years time. Oh My Gawd!!!

If we're bringing Guidetti back in to the fold that could make up for a lot of what we'd lose. I don't really remember Balo getting on the end of much in the air, save for one against Germany, but I might just be forgetting those times. I still think Dzeko is a type of player we have no direct replacement for.

Yep, his price probably went up with 5m just today...
Take it he played well?
2 goals in a 2-1 win and MoTM. Fiorentina confirmed he was staying this morning though. Like properly confirmed.

Scored two goals, 90 minute winner against a stronger opponent...
Good goals? + who did they play?
1st one a massive deflection. The second was a nice finish though. Played very well against Udinese. Although, I wouldn't say Udinese are a stronger side.
