Steve Coogan

Finally met him at the Cornerhouse when that Paul Raymonde film came out. Followed him since his late 80s impressions stuff on local TV and the early 90s Partridge radio series. In fact as I have the new year blues a bit I think I'll listen to the I, Partridge audio book right now.

I love Coogan's stuff. His CV is incredible:

On the Hour
Day Today
Alan Partridge
Gareth Cheeseman
Duncan Thicket
Paul Calf
Pauline Calf
Saxondale
The Trip

I could go on, but you get the point. The original Alan Partridge Radio 4 shows were absolutely brilliant, and a big part of my youth. Thoroughly recommend them for anyone who hasn't heard them. Genuine comedy genius.

has he died?
no?
shame! irritating twat

I too though he was dead when I saw the thread title

Ive never liked him, I just dont find him funny, he irritates me as well, I dont know why, certain people on tv are irksome, Jonathon Ross is another

I think DiscoSteve wishes that Coogan had died, on the basis that he doesn't like his comedy. A fairly rational stance, I'm sure you'll agree!

I dont like him Ric but I dont wish him dead, well not yet anyway ;)

I don't wish him dead either, but as someone else commented the thread title could be inferred he had.
But as I said, he's an irritating twat.

Partridge Lovers...................Alan is back on the screen tonight. 10pm, Sky Atlantic.

I for one CANNOT WAIT

Can take him or leave him. Funny, but not blisteringly funny. Watch his programmes when I remember but won't go out of my specifically for them.
