Radio 2 is wank. Zoe Ball is a wierd mix of bland and infuriating, Ken Bruce's patter is stale and predictable, Jeremy Vine is the physical embodiment of what the BBC has become, old fart Steve is about 30 years past his best and Sarah Cox seems to be under the impression that she's an irreverent, witty, zany off the wall presenter...... She's just crap.

Of course everything I've just said might be wrong as I fucked it off about 18 months ago, doubt it though.

I work on a building site and it’s so hard to please everyone. We’ve tried pretty much all of them . So many of the other stations just play the same songs over and over . If I had my choice it would be BBC 6 but not a chance the lads would entertain that station .

BBC would be a much better choice, shame about all the awful hip hop , rap shit ,, just my opinion, well and most of the radio listening friends and family I have :)

Ken Bruce is the only thing worth listening to on R2, now, and even then, I turn off after Popmaster.

The rest of it is dogshite. The same records played on each show, and half of them are already on R1. The so called DJs go on holiday, so they get a "celeb" as a stand in.

No. It's a USB stick for me, now.

Like Ken Bruce and love Popmaster. The rest of the presenters I’ve no time for. I switched to radio Manchester, but apart from Phil Trow that is also getting truly woeful, especially Becky (I really love that Want).

She is bearable, one of the least annoying.. it’s the music aimed at the younger generation who won’t be tuning is that does my head in.
One show i do enjoy is Liza Tarbuck,, great tunes on her show

Strange, I hate the myth that all scousers are funny & I used to think jimmy tarbuck was a right pillock but I find Liza Tarbuck really funny & love some of the stuff she plays,
A lot of the women on radio 2 Zoe Ball, Sarah cox, Winkleman etc go for the "ohhh im a bit mad & zany me" angle but I think Liza Tarbuck probably is a bit bonkers.

Used to be on all the time in my van but wouldnt even know what number i have it saved in now

i flick between talkshite (generally awful) and 5live (just crap) but without DAB i struggle for a decent ‘talking’ station

any suggestions ?

ps im not at Radio 4 stage in life yet
