Steven Ireland - my apology - I was wrong

The moment I really started to like Ireland was not during a game but after it

Cast your mind back to Irelands post match interview after the home defeat to Hamburg

His face told incredible disapointment, he summed the game up perfectly by saying how if we were more clinical we would have been in the semis, he thanked the fans and he said we would come back stronger im sure we will, few players and managers give good answers in post match interview some dont even give them i.e fergiescum, Martin Oneil is a perfect example maybe its just the irish

He has always had the talent, but perhaps not the attitude to make the most of it - that changed, and what a superb player he is now. He deserves all the acclaim and he is City through and through.

in fairness mate your reasons for not liking him were understandable he just proved you and everyone else wrong, well done stevie

Really? You'd never know by his actions. He really is one of those premas who couldn't give a damn about playing for his "lowly" country.
Good to see he's so much commitment for City, maybe when he gets bored of it he'll walk away without a word of an apology and only a rumoured excuse.

Good to see him working hard though..not like it's much different then any other player who's working hard at the minute.
