Hughes had dropped him too, hadn't he? And I seem to remember him having a dig at Hughes when he left. Basically he blames 3 managers on the trot for his own shortcomings. Clearly he has talent but until he realises that the problem lies within and that he needs to sort it, he will always be a disappointment imo.

The biggest twat going Stevie my mate seen him a few times and she said all he ever tried to do was get her to shag him even when he was with his bird. Had all the makings of an excellent footballer and threw it all away. No doubt he wanted to do well for us but he started to see the finish line before he'd barely done the first lap. It's a real real shame but I hope he can turn it around, he's still young in football terms so has the time to sort it out. I think he got so used to being superman he forgot that he was also Clark Kent!

True but a James Milner is worth far more to a team than a Stevie Ireland which is why Milner was highly sought after and Ireland wasn't.
