Stockport County

Big win for them tonight. A draw will get them over the line on Sunday. But both they and Wrexham are playing sides that need 3 points so won't be easy games.

Yep, some of their fans are right numpties, it so are some of ours. Their owner is a huge blue and a local lad. Their CEO is local too. They are trying to do things right.

Doing their best for a community that let’s face it, is full of blues.

Couple of really unnecessary nice touches too.
They buy all their pies from one of the local pie makers. Think it’s Stockport Pie company, they don’t make any money think they even make a loss on them. They do it just to support local.

Mark’s long term plan is basically a minihad and all the community improvements that come with it.

A byproduct of County doing well, is local business will benefit.

If a few numpties get the benefit, then so be it.
 
Watched their game against Wrexham - County should have been three up in the first half hour, Madden is a decent player at that level and maybe one division up, as is Hypolyte (although he faded as the game progressed).
Wrexham, on the other hand, were just a lower league version of Pulis' Stoke City - ale house, big boot football coupled with the long throw-in.

They are also continuing to support the Stockport Beer and Cider Festival , on again this June.

Another ground of the 92 club I have visited! One less to tick off. Hope Wrexham come up in the play offs to as been there as well.

They’re a local team who aren’t City, just like United and Wigan. Hate all three of them and they hate us.
 
Brilliant if they get promoted. It’s good for the town and all the local business’s.

there was a buzz around the town before
