Stoke away post match thread

What an odd season.

Really pissed off today, which is becoming too frequent. Another shocking result..... but still in with every chance.

Expected to go to Arse with a fair points gap to catch up on the 21st, but that is now looking unlikely.

Shite day, but still in there.
+1

1st why did he start with that donkey Bony. We were playing 3/4 of the game without a striker. Iheanacho should have been given a chance. Bony has had his chance & failed. 2nd are Silva & Ferandininho injured? if not why take them off. Yes neither was having a great game but who was & they both can change a game in an instance. More than can be said of Navas who came on & like normal did nothing. We can say its because of injuries. Yes that is a big part. But with all the money spent & available why have we not got strength in depth? We have meant to have a good academy going. So why not give one or two a chance. Surely they can't do any worse than some of the ones who played today Demichelis springs to mind. We have a manager & his assistants who show no passion for the club. When did MP jump out of his seat & scream orders? Something we are never likely to see. He won the Prem with Mancini's team & I will always believe that. We have not improved since then but taken a step backwards.

Miss you Bobby! A team built for success from the back! Best defence in league for 3 years straight! God how we need sum1 like him to teach us how to defend again!
Wonder how different his last season would have been if he would have got the players he wanted: RVP and Hazard? Pellers on the other hand been given everyone he wanted at massive cost and we look completely fucking clueless

Another unacceptable performance - how many more do we have to endure ? Stoke well worthy of a much bigger margin of victory. Fernando, Dimichelis, Sterling and Bony all not worth a starting place on the evidence of recent weeks. Silva miles off the pace and KDB wasted wide right.

I am as annoyed as anyone at this performance and I am not making any excuses for it but what no one seems to be mentioning is the effect of Europe combined with our injuries. Our worst performances have come on the weekend before a CL match. Spurs 4-1 before Borussia away; an unconvincing Norwich home win before Sevilla away; Liverpool 4-1 (again!) before Juventus away and now this rubbish against Stoke before Borussia at home. In fact when you think about it the only good performances before an European game have been Bournemouth before Sevilla at home (wow Bournemouth!) and Palace before Juventus at home (early in the season, no injuries concerns).

I think Pellers thinks he can win the league playing at 80% but needs to be 100%, however both the 80% and the 100% are NOT good enough!

Back from work. Thanks God couldn't watch it. Just seen the goals. OMG. The defence including Joe is just looking ridiculous.
Difficult to understand what is going on in this team. Going to Stoke without passion. It really hurts.

But then again I love to see a bloodless pussies team get kicked in the arse. Shame to say this about MCFC. But that's what happened today.

I think there is something in this. I made a similar comment last week. The CL campaign concludes this week, and I think that is a cause for hope. Sure the Xmas period is busy, but every PL team is on a level playing field there.

"Resting" players for the "more important" CL games has been part of the problem, like not picking Delph to start today. Conversely, as Iheanacho can't play in the CL he could have started today, and inexperienced as he is, he at least looks like making things happen unlike Bony (who doesn't even look capable of running)
