There are some real pessimists on this thread.
Yes we were crap today after a good performance last week. But given Jimmy's after match comments I think there will be a fair few players taking a long hard look at themselves. And we could see a surprise at the Britannia - in our favour.
What we really need though is for MP to give up his rigid format of 4-4-2 for every game (when our strikers are fit) and come up with differing formations based on the expected opposition set-up.
I'm expecting a completely different approach to our next game.

They've had plenty of opportunities to have a long hard look this season, perhaps they need to look at the tactical oasis on the sidelines

Defeat written all over it! We struggle anyway at Stoke let alone in our current form!

After that abysmal showing we move on.
Must win game.
Can't see us winning.

1-1.

Please no Fernando.

indeed. if you are reading this Pelle:

PLEASE no Fernando.

PLEASE SHOW SOME EFFORT!

The M6 is minging more that usual due to roadworks in Cheshire so don't set off too late.
And it's likely to be cold as I believe it's the second highest ground in the league.
And I seem to remember it was cold when we beat them in the cup a couple of years back so that's an omen.
And FFS boys, you owe us big time after yesterday.

Stoke will get a soft penalty just to rub it in our nose that we should of had at least 4 in the last 3 games! When was the last time we won there?

Absolute no chance this bunch of useless mercenaries will show up and graft out a performance on a cold and windy night in Stoke. Added to the fact Crouch will properly score another worldy.

2-0 to Stoke :(

Wiekens? Friday night ?
Correct, in what is currently the third division IIRC so 1998-99. Or Pab Zab a couple of seasons ago in the FA Cup.
And we did have that rather scary, entertaining and ultimately fruitless 5-2 win as both teams were relegated at the end of 97-98.
