Scuse the spelling of Picadilly but I can't be arsed running it through Google. Got a text from a mate on way home (lives darn sarf) saying a number of Stoke fans are acting up. Not sure whether to believe him or not however I wouldn't put it past them. Doing the small time turning over tables, smashing windows etc. Don't shoot the messenger.

Probably got spooked when they couldn't see a horse & cart.

I got to Piccadilly at about the same time as some of the Stoke fans about 7.50, but only saw and heard them singing and not causing any problems. I left soon after for the train though

There was a Police escort after the game towards town, about 100, half fans half nutters by the looks of it, all singing acting like idiots messing about, soon as they hit the main road and lots of city were about it suddenly went a bit quiet,

they probably got to the station, saw alot of people who were harmless and couldn't fight back and decided to knock a few tables over, god there well hard.

I noticed a group of about 15 near ancoats who were Stoke lot, they were on the end seats towards block 119 giving it the big one all game and when they scored, unnatached to the Police aswell, as i walked down towards the new Aldi about 15-20 lads passed me with one or two on phones, wouldn't suprise me if they did cause trouble and it went off, just scum anyway.

One of the funniest things i have ever seen at Eastlands when they decided to want to come and celebrate their goal with us by the old "hold me back, hold me back" whilst running.

That was great, one lad was doing the hold me back thing, steward lost grip of him and the had the chance to literally come all the way to the divide, but what did he do?

he fought against an invisible steward which was holding him back and didn't move another inch forward, soon as the steward took control again he then decided to start getting past, unbelieveable.

Trouble after the game

Found myself caught right in the middle of a melee opposite the Merc garage, anyone else see this?

Seems the rumours were actually true.

Also a great thanks to the GMP, who yet again proved themselves to be nothing more than an enormous collection of useless wankers.
