Sorry. Didn't have the sarcasm filter switched off. It's unusual on this forum for two people to agree with each other, but I note that it was only "in essence"! I suppose that's as near as it gets!

As an Ashton lad, the Manchestoh accent isn't as proper (note correct pronunciation) as what mine is tha knows.

I lived in Stoke when I did my first degree; venturing off the campus felt like taking ones life in ones hands in case of encountering natives. Most of them seemed to have neck tattoos, latent anger issues and no higher aspirations than driving a taxi or a white van.

it goes back years,always hated us ever since we took over the victoria ground on boxing day,i remember being on holiday in Kos in 2000 and met a stoke fan there and he said we hate Man city more than any other club

I was there (1989 I believe ) , one of them very few occasions I've encountered trouble following city. But a great day it was
