Stoke Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Oh dear. I had a bet the other week that we would finish in the top two. With each game my confidence I'll win that bet diminishes. Totally disjointed team and can somebody please ask Pellers not to play Garcia as a center back. Heart in mouth defending.
Garcia was very good today. Stop listening to the biased commentator. He read every play well and intercepted 3 balls. Was quick to harras the forward, and gave up a professional foul before anything developed.

Rather than complimenting these intelligent decisions, the dumb commentary guy kept whinning about him not being comfortable, and acting like a midfielder. Total bullshit. Had 3 solid interceptions, and closed down his man quickly. Made a mistake after correctly reading a pass and intercepting it, but tried to clear a ball under his foot quickly and bubbled it. Only mistake of the game. Yet, the commentator whined all game, and so did many on here.

He is a solid player.

Would agree with most of that. It was Paul Walsh I think, he'd decided before the game he didn't like Garcia and set about ignoring anything good he did. Typical shithouse commentator.

Garcia did ok today, not great but not bad either.

Pelly was 'bigged up' as a very savvy tactician ,motivator and strategist.. After these recent games he looks like a mechanic staring into the engine compartment of a very expensive car when he hasn't got a clue how it works. He needs to impress and quick.
If we are 6th at xmas ,out of a Cup and bottom of our European Group he'll be getting his P45..

I know we're a work in progress I just don't get what style of play Pellegrini wants? What system is it that the players need to get used to???

If Stoke had a better finisher it could have been 4-0.

We messed up not getting another midfielder to replace Barry, because Rodwell and Milner although solid aren't match beaters.

Why bring Navas on and then have him stop still while Zabaleta overlaps him??

Not surprised by the flapping and whining. We were poor today, no doubt about that, but really with the injuries we have, and a CL game in midweek, plus the rags next weekend. The point and clean sheet will do.

Absolutely no need to panic or make rash judgements about the players or the manager. We will get much better.

I happen to agree with you, there were circumstances attached to today's game
You don't go to Stoke with a much-changed team and expect to play them off the park, but let's be honest Hull should have beaten us last week, and Stoke should have won.

A good point with many players missing and the background of the internationals and the Champions League coming up. Aguero and Zabaleta were in South America on Tuesday night so you have to be understanding

LOL get out
Wasn't kun on the bench

I wouldn't listen to Dzeko's rent boy anyway he is a Liverpool fan

He was only benched due to his long trip from south america you and i know that lol. nice deflection on a pathetic display Again !

He played 20 minutes in a game that everyone was shit in. I don't need to protect him. You just cannot get your tongue out of Dzeko's ass and in all fairness I would say they will both start on Tuesday

People are over reacting like mad today. Yes it was poor. Extremely poor. But we are missing several key players for a game at Stoke, playing Garcia at CB, and we get a CLEAN SHEET. We will learn a lot more after next Sunday, with hopefully 2 wins from 2.

We have also played 4 out of 38 games, with an international break in the middle. When we have a fully fit squad with no interruptions, we will much much better. I still think we'll win the league!

Remember the game against Stoke in 2012 (1-1), we played much worse than we did today and won the league.

Stop harping on about Mancini , he mastered his own downfall. There was no way back for him.

Would've been worse with Dzeko out there. You think we lost possession with the team we had today?! It could've been worse with him. We did look better when Aguero was on.
