Not surprised by the flapping and whining. We were poor today, no doubt about that, but really with the injuries we have, and a CL game in midweek, plus the rags next weekend. The point and clean sheet will do.

Absolutely no need to panic or make rash judgements about the players or the manager. We will get much better.

We can't get much worse. I'm not expecting fireworks all game, but im watching what was a very good side,
become one bereft of any ability whatsoever. We don't even look like a Premier side. Our passing is woeful,
our ability to keep the ball, non existent and as for goal mouth action, well plenty in ours.

Billy apart from 1 win against 10 men at home we've been shite all pre-season and now for the last 3.

Rightly or wrongly lose next week and the wagons will be circling.

The wagons can circle all they want mate. Nobody, and I mean nobody, cares less than me about what the moral majority think. You'd think one or two would've learned that by now.

We were absolutely positively rubbish today, but the way people are talking you'd think we'd never played rubbish under Mancini. That simply isn't the case. As I said, considering the injuries, and the fixtures coming up this week, I'll take the point now and try and take the positives from it.

I think you have to understand though is that we have had the easiest start of any of the top teams - and only team we easily beat was a woeful 10 man Newcastle. Hopefully it improves buts it's not good enough far. Lack of energy and passion on the pitch - same off it too.

I hope I look back at this post in May and wonder why I had any reservations about our start to the season, but I can only comment on what I have watched up to now and with today that is 3 poor performances against Cardiff Hull and now Stoke.
I'm not talking about results just our performances slow laboured and little idea still how to break teams down. After a great first game as well.
Many Spanish experts say Pellegrini takes a while to get the squad working how he wants but when he does they are excellent and guardiola certainly rates him as one of the top coaches in the world so I can't argue with that, I just hope we don't take too long to get into our rhythm or we are going to leave us too much to catching up to do.

Embarrassing those who turn on MP after 4 games, totally embarrassing!!

Be fair Zin. He's not exactly inspiring and it's starting to worry people going into the derby. This is a tough league and if he doesn't learn fast it's the team that pays for it.

Unfortunately its the manager that pays for it , not in monetary terms mind you but has another sacking on his resume for what that is worth.

We have played four league games of sub standard football.

The home results were good but hardly inspiring all things considered.

They certainly don't look like a side that inspires any degree of confidence in.

I hope it can only get better as the season progresses.

Spurs, Arsenal and even Liverpool look like they can do the business away from home often enough this season albeit early days.

Our style of play and forward movement are well below what these sides have produced in 4 games irrespective of the results and I haven't mentioned Chelsea and Manure yet.

Too early to draw any significant conclusions but you can't help feeling that we have an Everton look about us this season.

Oh dear. Very poor.
Frankly that was embarrassing.
Mancini only won his last game at Stoke in last season's FA cup but quite often we at least dominated away games at Stoke against mass rank defending. Today we defended well but Stoke were definitely the better team and going forward we were wretched.
It is now as plain as a pikestaff that we will struggle to finish in the top 4 this season.
