Stoke Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

3.Formation change-from 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1. Agreed except that, for the derby, I would prefer Negredo to Aguero - he has the build and the controlled aggression to sort out Vidic and Ferdinand..

The red shite are shit scared of Sergio. First name on the team sheet for me, well joint first with Vincent.

Afternoon all. I was bladdered yesterday and can only vaguely recall posting on here last night haha.
Cheers anyway and great to have the season underway after a long summer without football.
Im sure it was just an off day for you on Saturday with a few players missing and its certain you'll come good but all looks promising for us so far under Hughes.
Granted...we havent got the resources to ever be world beaters.....and it will take forever to shake off our reputation of being long ball, anti football thugs....but if we keep going in the right direction then it can only be a good thing.
Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season and see you for the return fixture at your place ;)

There are some positives. It's a point more than we got at Stoke in our league winning season. .

No it's not....
Isn't it?
Did Lurch not score his super duper windmill falling down a stairs winner (that should have been disallowed because of the push on Barry) that year? Oh hang on! It was that a draw that felt like a defeat?
God, I'm losing it.
Still a positive though. It's the same number of points as etc etc.

I'll hush up now.

You do feel like shit when Lurch scores like that but even though the result was the same I felt like it was just a blip in the scheme of things that time.

Last Saturday against Leslie I thought I was in a time warp to the days when Leslie was at the helm.

On seconds thoughts it felt worse than that we were that piss poor.

Funny how the same result can give you two different feelings.

Did Berkovic have to touch the ball during the game other than to put it on the ground for a goal kick?

Couple of easy saves in the first half which seemed to be ignored by those who said we created absolutely nothing, but they were saves that would have been made by any goalkeeper worthy of the name.
