That BING fella is a lot better than the Babelfish girl I must say. Perfect translation into English that makes sense!

Awesome goals from Aguero and Nasri

Really world class goals particularly Aguero's first.

The way he battled for that goal, and then finished from a difficult angle was absolutely World Class. Do we know how lucky we are? The last 2-3 weeks we've had a glimpse of what can happen when you don't apply yourself (in my opinion), but last night was a rea demonstration about what Aguero was all about. Determination to score. If that was a Chelsea player he'd have been squealing for the referee but Aguero just fought for the ball, and when direct for the heart of the goal. He's scored some great goals, but that was one of the best for me, and one of the most important too.

We might not win anything this season, but as long as I know that this group of players is fighting to win, thn kt's only a matter of time before we win our next trophy.

Great attitude from the players, and typified by Aguero. A truly World Class player in the blue of MCFC.

When Ithink of the players I watched in our shirts over the years, and now we have players like Silva, Aguero and Nasri in our team. We are blessed. Show it next time you go to the game. Too much doom. Need more joy and pride amongst the fans. Don't ait for others. Show it next time your at City.

On to Newcastle, Take nothing for granted. Everybody needs to play their part. No sitting on hands. Win that and I think we're back in business with a 1/3rd of the season to go

I'd say James Milner deserves a statue building outside the ground, never mind a new contract.
do whats right City! - James Milner thread?

We couldn't work out Stoke in the first quarter of the game. We couldn't get any rhythm going at all...but we didn't panic for once at the back, we kept our cool and weathered the storm. Then we started getting a bit of passing going, moving the ball around the pitch quickly for the first time in absolutely ages and we even broke quickly.

From half time onwards we had some real electricity in our play for the first time since Southampton away (that was the 30th November, so a considerable amount of time ago!). Nasri Silva and Milner were very good.

Still not a great performance (lots and lots to iron out with this team still) but a million miles from the dross we've been dishing up in the last 10 weeks! and it feels so much better having played with some fire in our passing an energy in our movement. If we'd played like that and got a draw last night i'd have been happy that we've finally started playing competitive football instead of this pre-season intensity we've been playing with for too long. But a 1-4 win i'm buzzing with!

Onwards and upwards from here. Let's start putting some daylight between us and the pack behind us in the next month or so now!

Re: Awesome goals from Aguero and Nasri

The goal of the night was the Milner header, for me.

The passing and movement - that has been none-existent for months - was amazing on that right wing and the run, cross and header for Milner was class.

A wonderful goal!

Is it just a coincidence that recently when we have more than 50% of the ball the opposition, irrespective of their league position or even league, seem to draw or beat us. Conversely with less than 50% of the ball we win ?

As Stokes manager puts it they chased the game in the second half and we (ie Stoke) paid the penalty.

Agreed. All three of our goals from open play were great but Milner's was the pick of the bunch.

Arnautovic put in a beauty of a cross for theirs too.

Noticed Fernando almost as a third CB in the second half and it did work much better for us.

The increase in tempo and direct fast passing in the second half was superb. Whilst stoke played well the first half hour or so I don't think we helped by knocking it around so slowly inviting them to close us down and a number of times we were caught out like this.

Have to give milner and nasri a special mention in a second half where we looked like champions these two stood out. The build up play for milners goal was a joy to watch.
