The Second Coming was a brilliant album in its own right. No, it wasn't what anyone expected and on first listen may have been a disappointment. But to listen to it now 15 years later, is to hear a classic album that influenced a lot of the music that followed.

One extremely good album - that is all

One extremely good album complemented by effectively another albums worth of material in ep's and b-sides that were as good if not better. If you're assesing the band's legacy you can't exclude tracks like Elephant Stone, Fools Gold, Standing Here and Sally Cinnamon.

Elephant Stone is a superb track.

Yeah, you're right, just googled a few pictures of it. For some reason I always though that shirt had dollars on it, don't know why!

I saw Ian Brown yesterday, shopping in the garden centre i work in, he comes in a lot, i'll have to ask him about it

Is he living back up here now, thought he lived in london?

I may be proved wrong here, but he's never lived in London has he? Fool's Gold is about London and the promises it fails to deliver on. I know his misses was South American (or maybe Mexican?) so he lived in the States for a while, but now they have split up I think he's based in Manchester again.
