Dias has gone off a bit. I always feel stones is in our best defence whether it be alongside Laporte or Dias.

Pep explained (IIRC it was after the first leg vs Dortmund in the CL 20/21) that he want's at least 1 left footer in the back line, and because we didn't buy Cucurella, that means our only LB choice is right footed.

Which means we have to play Laporte or Aké, so Dias and Stones isn't possible.

because Stones and Ake are better passers on the ball and Ake has been our best CB this season so would be unfair on him.

plus pep will always play a left footer if available

that and Pep rotates them and all have been injured at some point with stones covering right back for a long while now
